Premises
Posted 2 weeks ago

As Premises Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety, security and operability of Nobel’s buildings and grounds.  Reporting to the Business Manager, you will arrange statutory, planned and ad-hoc maintenance and repair work and lead the premises team in minor repairs, maintenance, and other site-related tasks.

Previous experience of buildings management, or of placing and managing maintenance contracts is essential  This is primarily a desk-based role, but you must be willing to work with the maintenance team and to cover for absence where required.  Hands-on construction and building skills are not required, but may be an advantage.

The Nobel School prides itself on its excellent working relationships and caring environment.  You will need to be friendly, approachable, flexible, a good team player and hardworking, with a good sense of humour.  We offer membership of the Local Government Pension Scheme,  tax-efficient cycle to work  and electric vehicle lease schemes and 24 to 26 days’ paid holiday (plus public holidays).

Funds are available for up to 80% FTE, but we would welcome applicants wishing to work 60% FTE or above.  We are flexible with regard to working patterns, but would prefer to agree a regular weekly set of hours.

We are committed to safeguarding the welfare of all of our students and staff. Following an interview and a practical assessment, appointment will be subject to satisfactory recruitment checks, including an enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references.  We welcome applications from all suitably qualified individuals.

If you would like to visit Nobel or have any immediate queries about this post please contact Suzanne Crow (HR@nobel.herts.sch.uk).

Prospective candidates are encouraged to submit their applications as soon as possible as the school reserves the right to close the advert should we feel able to appoint an appropriate candidate.
